Students MUST have at least 15 CREDITS IN THE MAJOR and MINIMUM 2.5 GPA TO TAKE THIS FOR CREDIT. They may be able to do this for no credit, too.

Important: this opportunity IS OPEN TO INTRO TO PR STUDENTS. NYC TV, www.nyc.gov/tv has internship openings NOW -- (unpaid) -- and also for the summer. Producers are looking for 2 day a week commitment, minimum. Students should see Prof. Appelbaum ASAP to determine if you can complete this for credit.

Be NYC TV’s next Business Development & Marketing Intern! We are hiring ASAP.

NYC TV is the fastest growing network in the New York region and the official television station for the City of New York. We are looking for dynamic people who want to join our crew of hip and energetic professionals so we can continue creating our award-winning television for the city that never sleeps.

As a Business Development & Marketing Intern, assist our team with marketing and branding campaigns. You will brainstorm existing as well as new promotional opportunities, and will assist with our exclusive VIP events, review and select on-air talent submissions, and help develop new shows. Heavy research skills required for sponsorship, underwriting opportunities, and the media market.

Qualifications:
-Eager to work in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
-Interest in the media industry; experience preferred but not required
-Minimum high school diploma

2. LEGAL INTERNSHIPS

Assist the External Affairs team with rights management, contracts drafting and any other legal issues that arise. You will research copyright and trademark case law and FCC regulations. This position will allow you to gain hands on intellectual property experience and insight into the day-to-day operations of a growing media network.

-Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
-Interest in the media industry; experience preferred but not required
-Current law student
