Rubenstein Communications :: Winter/Spring 2011 Internships Supporting 10th Anniversary of Tribeca Film Festival

Rubenstein Communications, Inc. (www.rubenstein.com) is a privately-held public relations firm in New York City, offering strategic, results-oriented publicity and media relations in a wide variety of sectors. With over 450 clients, we represent a diverse clientele, including educational and cultural institutions, media and entertainment companies, not-for-profit organizations, health care providers, law firms, real estate concerns, global corporations, business executives and public figures.

We seek 10-12 student interns for the winter/spring semester (February-May 2011) to support publicity efforts for the Tribeca Film Festival. The festival is an international independent film forum held in Lower Manhattan each spring which marks its 10-year anniversary in 2011 (www.tribecafilmfestival.org).

The internship is unpaid but college credit is encouraged, subject to school approval. Part-time schedules (2-3 days a week, Monday-Friday) can be arranged yet full work days are preferred. Early-morning hours required on weekdays during peak periods with additional after-hours/weekend work required at formal events during the 10-day Festival.

Qualified applicants should demonstrate:

• Interest in public relations;

• Minimum 3.0 GPA;

• Poise, energy, and attention to detail;

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

• Ability to multitask efficiently.

Duties include: research; tracking press breaks; compiling media clips; data entry; assisting with press screenings, award ceremonies and red carpet premieres; and staffing on-site press office during festival.
