Feb. 18 - CUNY-Wide “Emerging Leaders” Conference

2011 CUNY-Wide “Emerging Leaders” Conference
Friday Feb. 18 @ CCNY

Please take advantage of this EXCITING CUNY-wide student leadership conference.
The 2011 theme is CIVILITY. You DO NOT have to be an officer of a club to attend this event; it is open to ALL STUDENTS in an effort to help develop their leadership skills.

Civility: The formal politeness that results from observing social conventions.

You’ve heard this term a lot lately. But, what does it really mean, and how can it improve your everyday dealings with fellow students, professors, administration, staff and your interactions in the community or your family? President Obama encourages politicians to be more civil as they hammer out resolutions to public policy issues. The lesson: we can all be more civil in our dealings with each other.

This CUNY-wide conference -- held on CCNY's campus Friday, Feb. 18 -- will give student leaders the tools they need. To learn more, reach out to Daniel Tome (info below), visit the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development (NAC 1/210) and watch this blog for details about online registration as it becomes available.
