Two SiFFers Walk with Student Academy Award Gold!

The Strasbourg International Film Festival is now accepting submissions for 2009. Last year, SiFF received and showed several films from students. We are looking for the newest and brightest filmmakers, the visionaries, the mavericks, the future of tomorrow!

According to Festival Director Christine Scott, “SiFF received over 750 submissions last year and we expect our numbers to increase. We look forward to considering the works from CCNY students. We know that tomorrow’s future is in today's universities and it’s our goal to show the best and most innovative works by the best student filmmakers from around the world.”

The 2008 Strasbourg International Film Festival's line-up featured two student films which won the 2008 Student Academy Awards - the most prestigious student award available in the world!

“A Day’s Work”
GOLD Student Academy Award for NARRATIVE film

“Viola: The Traveling Rooms of a Little Giant”
GOLD Student Academy Award for ALTERNATIVE film

“It's game time and we want CCNY filmmakers to play!,” notes Christine. She says submission fees have been kept low so even students and starving artists can afford the entry fee.
