ESSENCE Magazine Fall 2008 Internship Program

ESSENCE Magazine, the premiere lifestyle publication for African American women, is looking
for junior, senior or graduate level students to complete an internship for academic credit. All
candidates must be self-motivated and detail-oriented. Positions are available in the general
editorial, fashion, beauty, art and photo departments. Candidates must, have strong writing
and organizational skills and an interest in African American culture. Art and photo
candidates must have proficiency for graphic design and/or photography with a working
knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Suite.

These are unpaid positions. All candidates must be able to receive school credit. A minimum
of 2 days per week is required. Student must be based in the NYC area.
